Skaalvenn Yuzu Gin

Our Yuzu Gin is made yuzing a combination of distillation techniques to create the bold flavors Skaalvenn Distillery has become known for. We didn’t spend the last 10 years distilling great spirits to create something plain or ordinary!

Japanese Yuzu is macerated and vapor distilled in our pot still along with other fresh gin botanicals such as juniper, coriander, lemon, orange, and angelica root. The result is a gin that resembles a London Dry style, but with the unmistakable aroma and taste of Yuzu.

Not familiar with Yuzu? It’s an exotic hybrid citrus that is extremely popular in japan where most of it’s value is in the extremely aromatic peels and juice. Yuzu can be described as one of the most exotic and complex of all citrus fruits, a perfect harmony of sweet lemon, lime, and grapefruit.

Gin & Tonic

Skaalvenn Gin Recipes

The proper way to christen any patio is with a gin & tonic or five.

  1. 2oz Skaalvenn Yuzu Gin

  2. Tonic water to fill

    Pour gin over ice, top with tonic water, garnish with lime or lemon slice. Srsly, that’s it.

The Negroni

A drink so good it has its own week of celebration (we say that’s every week, but I digress).

  1. 1oz Skaalvenn Yuzu Gin

  2. 1oz sweet vermouth

  3. 1oz campari
     

Stir with ice, strain into ice filled glass. Garnish with orange peel.

The Vesper

This is the botanical, citrusy, refreshing iterative of the vodka martini.

  1. 1.5 oz Skaalvenn Yuzu Gin

  2. 1/2 oz Skaalvenn Vodka

  3. 1/4 oz lillet blanc

 

Shake with ice, strain, serve in a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with lemon twist.
