About Us
Minnesota's Premiere Cocktail Bar & Distillery
We set out in 2014 to create a small selection of spirits that focused on quality instead of quantity. At Skaalvenn we currently make Vodka, Yuzu Gin, Rum, Aquavit, Habanero Rum, and we bottle a sourced Bourbon. At this time we are only available in Minnesota.
In 2020 we opened our adjoining cocktail bar which is the opposite of most bars in America. Our premise is that you can get a good drink almost anywhere these days, but you can only get a damned good drink and some of the world's best hospitality Only At Skaalvenn Distillery & Cocktail Bar.

A Taste of Denmark!

Chase & Max just got back from Denmark with a backpack full of fun ingredients!
Here's what we've got cookin'

Danish Hot dog, called pølse, with remoulade sauce, pickled cucumbers, onions and crispy fried onions

Luke is making an absinthe from botanicals brought back by Chase and Max

There will be a Danish butter cookie old fashioned

We are making three separate types of schnapps from the botanical mixes--which can be enjoyed as shots AND we are featured in the specialty cocktails for our Taste of Denmark
We are using a wide variety of unique Danish ingredients like Læsø sea salt from the Danish island of Læsø, famed for its salt; candied violets, sweet licorice, islandski moss, sea buckthorn juice, strawberry preserves, lingonberry syrup, teaberries, pickled herring, gooseberries, elderflowers and a variety of chocolate from award winning chocolatier Bagsværd Lakrids.

We're a bit of a destination distillery and cocktail bar. It's not uncommon to have people tell us they drove from over an hour away to come visit, or that it's their first time in Minnesota and coming to Skaalvenn was the first thing they wanted to do after landing at MSP.
But Thursday nights involve driving across town in rush hour traffic and not everyone wants to do that. We get it. So that's why we're offering Happy Hour!
At Skaalvenn, Thursdays are chill—it’s the best time to catch up with friends or have an impromptu date night before the weekend starts.
