The cocktail bar at Skaalvenn Distillery was inspired by the owners' trips to Japan where they fell in love with the intimacy, hospitality, and flavors which they hadn't encountered anywhere else. Skaalvenn also regularly sends employees to Japan just to experience the world's best hospitality first hand and to incorporate what they learned into your experience.

We are open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
Thursday : 4-10pm
Friday : 4-11pm
Saturday: 3-11pm

We do accept walk-in customers, when space is available.
Reservations may have a time limit when it's extremely busy, if this is a concern please let us know as we never like having to cut someone's visit short.
Since our focus is executing cocktails and hospitality on an unmatched level, we have to limit the occupancy of our bar. Therefore we have every table and bar seat available for reservations, and they take priority over those who are coming in without one.
If every table or bar seat is full, we unfortunately have to turn people away, and for that reason we strongly suggest making a reservation or calling the bar at 763-762-7861 before stopping out. We'll let you know if we have space!
Cocktail Menu
Our cocktail menu changes frequently. We want to keep things exciting, new, and fresh.
We change our menu based upon availability of quality ingredients and when we feel the time is right for a new idea to hit the menu, or for another cocktail to take a pause.
You'll find some signature cocktails which have been on our menu since we opened in 2020, and others that come and go.
F.A.Q.
Do you allow pet dogs/cats/goldfish?
We love em, but Minnesota law does not allow pets inside our distillery. Please leave your pets at home.
Can we bring in food?
Absolutely! Feel free to bring in food or have it delivered, we've got plates and silverware if you need it.
DO you serve beer or wine?
No. Minnesota law requires that distilleries ONLY serve hard alcohol.
How dumb is that?
It's a law we're actively trying to get changed.
Kids or young adults allowed?
Anyone under 21 is allowed as long as they are accompanied by someone 21+
All guests, regardless of age, must be well behaved.
Please note that late at night we usually play 90s rap which might contain profanity.
Why are you located in an old warehouse?
Less expensive rent!
For real, it allows us to operate at a lower overhead, meaning we can pay our staff better, give them better benefits, AND make you better cocktails, all while giving better hospitality.
Ever notice how our bar staff remain the same year after year? We're able to give them more because of our location.
Being in a fancy building in the cool part of town costs a lot of money and as result a lot of things get cut.
